The Research Terminal is retired.

The terminal was a Bloomberg-style surface that mixed the macro layer, community scores, and property-level valuation into one dense readout. Useful as a prototype, but built on the same hand-tuned thresholds, composite weights, and property-level verdicts the rest of the Research Centre just retired in its Phase 1 cuts.

Keeping it live would have contradicted what the property page now claims to do: surface defensible facts and refuse to invent the things it can’t. So we shut it down rather than preserve a second surface that disagrees with the first.

Where the parts went

  • The macro layer: BoC overnight rate, 5-year bond, big-six predictions. Still lives at the top of /research.
  • Property-level valuation (intrinsic value, emotion premium, verdict score) was retired. Phase 4 will reintroduce a city-level rebuild-cost reading where the math can be defended; there will be no property-level replacement.
  • Community readings: ownership, income, permit pipeline. They’re landing inside the new property page in Phase 2 as community-scoped panels rather than the score-style tiles the terminal used.
