We collect information you provide directly when you create an account, list a property, submit an offer, or contact us. This includes your name, email address, phone number, property details, and any documents you upload for ownership verification.
We also collect information automatically, including your IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and cookies. We use analytics to understand how our platform is used and to improve the experience.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to: provide and maintain our platform; process listings, offers, and account management; verify property ownership; send notifications about offers, listing status, and saved search alerts; respond to your inquiries; improve our services; and comply with legal obligations.
Data Storage
Your data is stored securely on servers operated by our infrastructure providers (Supabase, Vercel) located in Canada and the United States. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (TLS) and at rest. Verification documents are stored in private, access-controlled storage buckets.
Third Parties
We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information with: our infrastructure providers (hosting, database, storage); email delivery services (for notifications); and law enforcement if required by law. All third-party providers are bound by data processing agreements.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to maintain your session and authentication state. We may use analytics cookies to understand platform usage. You can disable non-essential cookies in your browser settings without affecting core functionality.
Your Rights
Under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy legislation, you have the right to: access your personal information; correct inaccurate information; withdraw consent (subject to legal obligations); request deletion of your account and data; and file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Listing data is retained for 12 months after a listing expires or is marked as sold. Verification documents are deleted within 30 days of verification completion. You may request full account deletion at any time through your dashboard settings.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through a notice on our platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
